M = measured value N = Nominal TI Indicated

T = True value A = Actual STD Ind or Determined

 

Percent Relative Error Correction Factor

     cf = A-N

Where: er(%) = percent relative error Where: cf = Correction Factor

M = measured value N = Nominal

T = true value A = Actual

The true value is usually replaced by the accepted or nominal value because the true value is never exactly known.

 

Correction Factor (% and PPM)

   

WHERE : CF = Correction Factor (in Percent or Parts-Per-Million)

A = Actual Value

N = Nominal value

(1) To convert from Percent(%) to Parts-Per-Million, move the decimal place 4 places to the right.
 
(2) To convert from Parts-Per-Million to Percent(%), move the decimal place 4 places to the left.
